敬老の日、ってわざわざ言わなくても
大先輩は敬います
私がまだ親と住んでいた頃は
敬老の日には、父が必ず祖母に
電話をしていた
お父さんは、電話じゃなくて
何か買ってあげなよと思っていたが
お父さんは面倒くさがりで、
１度も買ったことはない
今では、私が敬老の日に
両親に電話している
２人とも全然老人じゃないけどね
私もおばあちゃんになったら
誰かが電話してくれるのかな
I always respect old people
I don’t need a special day for that.
My father used to make a phone call
to my grandma on the day every year
while I was living with my parents.
I wanted my father to buy something as a present
for Grandma, but my father was very lazy.
He never gave anything to his own mother
as far as I know.
Time passed by
and now I make a phone call to my parents
on the day even though they are not “old” at all.
they are much more energetic than I.
Who would make a phone call to me
on this day when I grow old enough
to be called an old woman?
